CHRIS TAYLOR

Training and Development Director

It has always interested me why people join a business in the first place and even more so as to why they left.

The bit in the middle where people take the decision to stay or leave is the real intrigue for me. How managers strive to keep the balance for targeted results whilst keeping their staff happy and the consequences their behaviours create on other levels within the business. Internal relationships, wellbeing, the business reputation, client satisfaction, client retention, growth etc.

This is where I have spent a lot of my time understanding how the good managers, amongst us, do maintain the balance retaining their good staff and adversely the poorer ones that don't.

It can be difficult as a manager to maintain this balance and mistakes are easily made, I've made many.

My dad used the expression 'some live & learn and some just live'. I've carried this with me throughout my adult life, looking to learn from my mistakes to understand why & how I could do better. Learning and self-development is a wonderful thing.

I'm still making mistakes today  (maybe not as many as I used to) but hope I'm better in recognising and
by learning from them I'm not repeating.

Having worked with 100's of people both reporting to and from and to training 1000's I've experienced the extremes. Behaviours, habits, character traits, mainly unintentional, mistakenly and repeatedly thinking their methods in managing are acceptable approaches in looking after their people.

So, if we can eradicate these mistaken beliefs with slight adjustments, bringing awareness and provide methods to encourage behaviour change we can move everyone to a better, peaceful and more confident state of mind.

This is what I do.

It's been a long and varied journey for me to arrive here. A place I thoroughly enjoy, where I'm helping others and developing myself at the same time, providing tips to increase their confidences to move them to better places too.

So, it really just leaves me to say thank-you for your time in reading this, thank-you for visiting our website and maybe sooner rather than later I'll be thanking you for investing in your people by investing in one of our programmes.

NICK TAYLOR

Sales Training Director

What makes a great sales plan and what makes a great sales person can go hand in hand, but so often doesn't. It's what I have studied and what I have lived via my career-to-date.  I apply fabulous/actual experiences to my training sessions that can and will motivate and support  salespeople to reach their potential. Aligning the targets with the company goals, aligning the activities with the targets, applying solid selling principles to both the planning and actioning of the selling cycle. Our 'improve your sales' modules provide many tips and ideas upon simple steps that can be put in place to bring in extra sales, extra margin and extra rewards.

FERGUS MORRIS

Management Training Consultant

I have spent most of my career in education, either being educated or educating, employed in deputy head and head positions.

Its a challenging industry, certainly in the managing of expectations & change through the uncertainties that we experienced in the pandemic. My engagement in leading staff, inspiring pupils, managing parents’ and Governors' expectations with the limited resources available has been a rewarding experience.

I have for several years lead teams in the education industry, my heart is in education and I have the desire to continue to develop others.  To enhance further what I can offer I have recently completed an MBA, which has put a focus on my commercial and analytical skills.

I am also a member of the ILM ( Institute of Leadership & Management).

I enjoy this independent consultancy role, advising leaders and managers on a strategic level, with a particular emphasis on developing staff and blending multiple different personalities to create strong, successful teams.
